The Georgia-Pacific MBA Internship is a 12-week project based program where interns will be given one strategic project addressing a current business issue to work on throughout the summer. Interns will work with many cross-functional teams to develop their recommendation including: finance, pricing, operations, consumer research, marketing agencies, social media team, etc. The Intern Project will support one or more GP Retail brands: Angel Soft, Brawny®, Dixie, Quilted Northern, Sparkle®, Stainmaster, Vanity Fair. Successful Interns will be given offers to return as full-time Marketing/General Managers (or equivalent) upon graduation.
Responsibilities of these roles could include:
Assist in evaluating and refining brand positioning based on Category Strategy, Consumer Insights and Competitive analysis
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver long term planning objectives and goals
Utilize competitive information from external and internal sources to identify category trends, opportunities and risks
Utilize consumer and category insights to contribute to the development of communication programs, improvement in overall brand health and to identify innovation opportunities
Review P&L performance and make recommendations to improve long term value creation
Execute monthly monitoring, reporting and active administration of your brand’s marketing investments, including Advertising, Consumer Promotions and Shopper Marketing
Provide regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis using tools such as IRI, Market Monitor Reports and customer POS data
Bachelor’s degree required
Must be currently enrolled in a MBA program
Spring 2019 graduation date or earlier
Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
