Position The Marketing Coordinator is an adept and agile project manager. They are skilled at coordinating multiple projects simultaneously including: determining resource needs, providing estimated project timelines and cost estimates. They enjoy working as part of a team, are nimble, and thrive in a dynamic and innovative work environment. S/he uses their experience to coordinate design projects for the entire organization, oversee SEPA’s portfolio of freelance designers, and help create assets that promote our brand and its values.
The ideal candidate has an eye for streamlined, and engaging visual design. They also have a solid knowledge of the capabilities of design software. They can take abstract concepts and translate them into products and visuals that wow our customers. The candidate will use their skills to grow the organization’s portfolio of designers - attracting and vetting potential freelancers for work with our organization. The position is based in Washington, DC, and may require occasional travel (<20%).
Maintain the organization’s portfolio of freelance designers including: attracting and vetting new designers, expanding the design capabilities of the collective portfolio, and ensuring designer rates remain cost competitive with industry standards.
Enforce branding guidelines on all creative projects
Serve as the day-to-day liaison between internal staff and designers, ensuring that their visions are translated into industry leading products and resources
Assign resources and freelancers to projects based on scope and expertise
Ensure that projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner
Maintain the marketing department’s project and design archives
Work with printers and other production firms to create and deliver print and digital assets that support organizational goals
Collaborate with the marketing manager and marketing associate to execute the organization’s branding and promotional campaigns
Provide creative support for the organization’s in-person events such as conferences and tradeshows
Other tasks as assigned
Minimum 2 years of project management experience in an advertising/graphic design environment
Experience with project management software (dapulse, smartsheet, MS project or similar)
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe CC (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom)
Experience with Google platform including Drive, Mail, & Apps
Experience in data visualization is a plus
