HCW Management Consultants, LLC (HCW) is actively seeking a Director of Marketing for its Branson Landing Lifestyle Center located in Branson, Missouri.

Position Summary: The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading the center’s marketing efforts in support of the property’s strategic goals as defined by HCW. The Director of Marketing will work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for marketing, advertising and managing the strategic marketing plans as well as the digital and social marketing strategy and management of the shopping center. Targeted focus will be on programs to increase retail sales, ancillary revenue and traffic. The Director of Marketing must be able to represent the center to our customers, tenants, community and ownership in a positive manner. The candidate must drive the program and effectively collaborate and work with the corporate team in curating events, advertising and marketing programs.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to) Create, execute and manage the marketing business plan inclusive of the annual marketing and event budget incorporating monthly reforecasting and variance reporting.
Ongoing monitoring of the marketing budget, website and social media data; monthly reforecasting and adjustment as needed to meet year-end projections.
Analysis of sales and statistical data, financial reporting, public relations, media buying, traditional and digital media management.
Develop and effectively execute sales promotions, special events and internal and external communication strategies to drive tenant sales.
Establish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through retailer communication / sales promotions / visual merchandising, etc..
Consumer Marketing: Develop a self-sustaining sponsored events calendar and annul budget for special events at the center.
Partner with and manage the media buying agency and media production contractors inclusive of securing media and providing content and copy as necessary.
Manage, initiate and utilize social, mobile and digital media platforms to respond to customer and industry trends inclusive of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Yelp, and Google Analytics. Identify opportunities for engaging content and create a content calendar. Manage an effective e-mail and SMS messaging strategy to inform patrons of programs, events and merchant promotions.
Manage and update the mall’s website and digital media channels as needed.
Manage directory updates both digitally and traditionally. Identify key opportunities and create engaging experiential events by executing existing and developing a series of events, expos, entertainment, and loyalty programs among other initiatives as required to drive traffic and engage the community and increase sales.
Maintain an effective media relations plan to gain exposure for newly opened tenants and for the shopping center.
Coordinate and manage the visual merchandising, signage and barricade graphics plan to maintain and upscale shopping environment.
Retail / Management / Partnerships: Responsible for developing and implementing a retailer relations strategy to improve programming, communications and outreach to our merchant partners.
Manage and sell the Media sponsorship program and identify opportunities to sell media assets, negotiate other entertainment programs to benefit financial sales goals of the property without compromising the integrity of the asset.
Manage the communication alert system and identify opportunities to expand upon the program.
Assist the General Manager to help foster relationships with key county and community organizations.
Plan, purchase, and manage the installation/removal of the seasonal holiday décor package/s.
Leasing: Participate where necessary with prospective retailers and provide demographic data, shopper profile and local market information.
Focus when necessary on specific targeted retailers, drive awareness and increase sales. Assist in the development of custom leasing materials.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of strong marketing, management, event and advertising experience in a mall or lifestyle shopping center is required. • Excellent social/digital media skills and knowledge. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling and negotiation skills. • Sound fiscal management and budgeting skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills (along with strong writing skills). • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, some evenings and holidays when necessary.
