The Firm is looking for a diligent, highly motivated and experienced marketing and business development professional to be based in our New York office and who will lead the institutional fund raising process in the US.
Job Description/ Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will have very strong written and oral communication skills, will be outgoing and personable, and will be knowledgeable about the financial markets in general. The candidate will utilize his or her strong product knowledge of CLOs and corporate credit to educate institutions and family offices on the asset class, our product offerings and the qualifications of our Firm. A successful candidate will leverage their existing institutional contacts while also exploring new sources of investor capital that could benefit from our expertise.
The successful candidate will report to the global head of business development and will be expected to make key contributions to the Firm's short and medium-term capital raising strategy in the US. The role will also include overseeing and working with a potential third-party marketer.
The successful candidate will have the qualities of a team player and will assist and contribute to the preparation of marketing materials, organize the response to due diligence requests, liaiase with consultants, prepare reports and analysis for investors and provide market feedback as it relates to long term product and capital raising strategies.
5+ years of relevant work experience in fundraising, business development or sales (or previous CLO/Structured Credit sell or buy side experience)
Strong product knowledge of CLOs, bank loans and corporate credit assets
Measurable success across an institutional investor base
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field
Experienced in drafting and producing marketing materials
Strong written and oral communication skills
Able to excel in a demanding, results oriented work environment
Proactive mindset and the ability to work independently
