We are looking for a VP of Marketing to enhance our brand, generate steady lead flow and in general help us capitalize on the enormous opportunity provided by the coming “silver tsunami” of baby boomers entering their senior years. The VP of Marketing will report to the CEO and will be a member of our Leadership Team. The job is located at Touchtown’s fun HQ in lovely Oakmont, PA.
As VP of Marketing, you would:
Participate in the Leadership Team meetings and deliberations, and provide insights into the company’s strategic and tactical decisions
Develop a marketing plan and budget to achieve our corporate sales and branding objectives.
Become an expert in the senior living market, and how to market to the various constituencies within that market.
Lead generation: Conceptualize, develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns.
Write marketing copy for the various components of our marketing mix, including website, email blasts, white papers, social media, etc.
Work with our Act-On Marketing Automation system to track the results of our marketing programs, and to execute email blasts and other marketing campaigns
Trade show management, including determining which shows to participate in, booth layout, show planning, and show management
Public relations, including industry, local and (in an ideal world) national media
Manage internal and external resources as necessary to achieve our goals. Currently, in addition to the VP of Marketing, there is a talented Marketing Coordinator devoted to supporting marketing. As we grow, you could build a team of marketers, based on the level of our success and priorities.
Manage the marketing budget.
8+ years of marketing experience
Previous experience dealing with strategic marketing decision making
Excellent writing skills
Good instincts for graphical layout and design
Experience utilizing marketing automation systems
Acumen with digital (including social media) marketing
Technology Marketing background
Managing a marketing team
Participation in a senior management team
Specific understanding of the Act-On system
Graphical design skills
Passionate about helping senior citizens
Highly intelligent with natural curiosity
Excellent “people” skills
Production (results) oriented
