An experienced Director of Marketing and Communications will be responsible for successfully raising the profile of TASIS The American School in England, and creating and maintaining a strong and sustainable student marketing and recruitment strategy for the School. The objectives of the role are to promote the reputation of the School and enhance its relationship and profile with prospective and current families, agents, American corporate HR offices, relocation agents and alumni. Successful candidates must have experience with the American curriculum and American publishing standards to successfully market the program in the United States and worldwide. Oversee and coordinate Admissions Team and Enrolment Management.
Create and manage a dynamic marketing strategy for the school.
Prior experience and understanding of Admissions process in international school is also a requirement.
Undertake thorough and detailed market research any analysis of data to support the overall marketing strategy of the school.
Creating engaging and factually accurate key messages, incorporating these messages in marketing materials, ensuring the tone and language of all content are relevant. Optimizing key messages for individual stakeholder segments.
Ensuring that the key marketing materials “tell the TASIS story” from the prospective of current students, faculty and alumni.
Develop, execute and drive an outstanding, cohesive marketing campaign with clearly measurable objectives and results.
Identify potential new markets for student recruitment and develop marketing strategies to maximize their opportunities.
Monitor and track marketing trends.
Advise the school on the competitive landscape on an on-going basis, and the potential areas for growth.
Comprehensively review all existing materials to develop and upgrade brand guidelines for all marketing materials, including the website and all photographic content.
Promote the school and support the recruitment efforts by attending marketing events, participating in school fairs, meeting with agents, and participating in admissions trips internationally.
Proactively search out opportunities to raise the profile and promote the school locally, nationally and internationally.
Develop reporting metrics to track enrollment success and identify strategies for improvement in areas that might be inhibiting our ability to be the school of choice.
Implementing PR plans and media engagement plans, and contributing to their development.
Liaising and building solid relationships with online and offline media to maximize the school’s media exposure.
Skills & Characteristics
Experience and knowledge of marketing within the American independent schools sector.
Proven expertise in developing both strategic and operational marketing plans and managing appropriate budgets.

Strong organizational skills, team player and people skills.
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of marketing experience, with experience working with American schools.
Excellent creative and design sensitivity.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Highly organized, with ability to align key messages, vehicles, and communicators and manage multiple projects.
Deep digital experience. Proficiency with current web technology, social media, and video platforms.

Additional Salary Information: Salary quoted is in British pounds and is negotiable depending on experience.
